Nestled just outside the breathtaking wilderness of Denali National Park, YWAM Denali is a place where faith, adventure, and obedience intersect. Surrounded by towering mountains, vast tundra, and the raw beauty of Alaska, our base exists to draw people closer to God and send them boldly into His mission. This land continually reminds us that God is both majestic and near, calling ordinary people into extraordinary obedience. At YWAM Denali, the wildness of creation mirrors the journey of faith—challenging, refining, and deeply transformative. Here, we create space to encounter God, to listen carefully to His voice, and to respond with courage, no matter the cost.

YWAM Denali is a Youth With A Mission base committed to knowing God and making Him known. As part of the global YWAM family, we wholeheartedly uphold YWAM’s foundational values: a Christ-centered life, worship and prayer as our foundation, a deep love for God’s Word, servant leadership, and dependence on God for all things. We believe missions is not just an activity but a lifestyle—one marked by humility, faith, and obedience. We seek to disciple people holistically, training hearts to love God, minds to think biblically, and hands to serve faithfully. Everything we do flows from a desire to see lives transformed by Jesus and nations impacted by His truth.

Community life at YWAM Denali is intentionally shaped to prepare people for mission. Through daily rhythms of worship, prayer, teaching, work, and shared life, we grow together in faith and character. Living in a remote and demanding environment teaches resilience, perseverance, and trust in God—qualities essential for those called to challenging mission fields. The Alaskan wilderness becomes a classroom, stripping away distractions and inviting deeper dependence on God. Here, faith is not theoretical; it is practiced daily through obedience, sacrifice, and service. We believe that God often prepares people for the nations by first shaping them in hidden and demanding places.

YWAM Denali carries a strong calling to the 10/40 Window and to the world’s hardest and darkest places—regions where access to the gospel is limited, persecution is real, and spiritual darkness feels overwhelming. We believe God’s heart beats strongly for these places, and we are committed to raising up workers who are willing to go where few are willing to serve. Our focus is not comfort, but obedience; not safety, but faithfulness. We train and send people to engage unreached and least-reached communities with humility, wisdom, and love. Whether through long-term missions, strategic outreach, or prayerful intercession, we desire to stand in the gap for those who have yet to hear the name of Jesus.

While our vision reaches the nations, we are also deeply committed to faithfulness right where we are. Located near Denali National Park, we see Alaska as an active mission field filled with people from all over the world—travelers, seasonal workers, and local communities each carrying unique stories and needs. We seek to live out the love of Christ through hospitality, service, prayer, and authentic relationships. We honor the land and cultures of this region, choosing to listen well and serve with humility. We believe that loving our neighbors locally strengthens our ability to serve globally, shaping hearts that reflect God’s compassion wherever He sends us.
